It's important to differentiate Communication Sciences from Communication Studies, which focuses on communication mediums and effective messaging in various contexts like business, politics, and public speaking. Communication Studies does not delve into the study of communication disorders or the development of speech and language.

A standard Communication Sciences curriculum covers diverse subjects such as Hearing Mechanism, Phonetics, Physiology of Speech, Speech Science, Hearing Science, Language Pathology, Psycholinguistics, and Communication Disorders in Childhood.
