    You will gain 3D creation skills for creating compelling visuals for interactive games, virtual reality experiences, live events, and virtual production of TV shows and Films. Along with the fundamental technical skills you will be gaining experience of production pipelines and workflows used professionally as well as problem solving skills and a deeper understanding of how 3D works to set you up for continued growth in your future career.

    By the end of the course, you'll have learnt to use professional-standard software and equipment, collaborated on projects with students from other courses and developed an industry-ready showreel.

    Based in our professional studios, you'll build a robust skill set and develop the confidence and adaptability that will help you thrive in a constantly developing industry landscape.

    You will study the fundamental skills of creating 3D models, characters and worlds for use in Games or Film productions. You will learn asset creation techniques such as sculpting and 3D scanning, animation processes including keyframing and Motion Capture, texturing workflows including photorealism for visual effects and stylised texturing for games.

    Our innovative and exciting 3D Animation for Games and Film course will help you to:

    IELTS both online and paper-based exams accepted. Candidates can also re-sit a single component within 60 days of taking their test through IELTS OneSkill. MDX will accept certificates with a OneSKill retake component

    6.0 (with 6 in Reading & Writing, min 5.5 in other components)
    6.5 (with 6.0 in each component); *MA Scriptwriting and MA Novel Writing (DE)– must have minimum
    6.5 overall with 6.5 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and a minimum
    7.0 in Written component; ** Sport Rehabilitation and Soft Tissue Therapy MSc and Sport
    Rehabilitation and Return to Play MSc – must have a minimum of 6.5 overall with 6.5 in each component

    How can the 3D Animation for Games and Film BA support your career?

    This course will give you a solid foundation in 3D fundamentals and will challenge you to explore a wide range of creative specialisms such as virtual production, concept art, compositing, environment art, 3D animation, motion capture and character art.

    You will be prepared for a range of industries which depend on 3D graphics. The focus on real-time graphics opens up opportunities to become game artists, specialising in characters or environments, as well as enter the TV or film industry as a virtual production practitioner. Graduates have gone to work in industry leading companies such as Disguise, Target 3D, The Foundry, DNeg, ILM Rockstar Games, BlueZoo and Proof Inc.

    Students also have the chance to visit Industry networking Events such as EGX Rezzed and Vertex Conference.
