Developed by our expert team of lecturers who have many years of experience of working with students on building their study skills, the main aim of this Academic Thinking module is to give students a valuable insight into academic life before they even begin their Undergraduate studies, and provide them with a range of useful transferrable skills that they can take anywhere.
With support available on hand from the University's lecturers, students will be able to build their individual portfolio of transferrable skills including critical thinking, note-taking, effective time-management, reading and writing strategies for academia, and how to structure an argument.
On successful completion of the online assignments, participants will have the opportunity to achieve 5 credits at the same level as the first year of University (level 4) that can be put towards further study at the University.
Completion of the module as well as the skills gained will look excellent on CV or UCAS Personal Statement.
