    About

Overview In order to maximize your understanding of anthropology, we encourage students in the Anthropology program of the University of Minnesota to take courses in cultural, biological, archaeological, and linguistic anthropologies.Students planning a professional career in anthropology generally concentrate on a specialty within the field, like medical anthropology, human evolution, or North American historical archaeology.TracksArchaeology is the study of human history through the excavation of sites and the analysis of artifacts and other physical remains.Biological Anthropology is the study of human biology and behavior, related non-human primates, and extinct hominin ancestors. This track relies heavily on the theory of evolution, with an emphasis on the interaction between biology, behavior, and ecology.Cultural Anthropology is the study of human society and culture, with an emphasis on describing, analyzing, interpreting, and explaining social and cultural similarities and differences.Linguistic Anthropology is the study of communication and language in their social and cultural context. Since only humans speak, anthropologists are keenly interested in language use, structure, and change, and the relations among language, society, and culture. I want to find another Bachelor Course
