The BSc computing programme has been designed to provide students with an understanding of a wide range of contemporary subjects in the area of computing. Students will develop an extensive range of practical skills in the areas of computing, information systems and information technology including: • Problem-solving skills including analysis and design of real world scenarios • A wide knowledge of application software covering the areas of IT and computing • Programming and systems development skills, particularly in the context of the web • Valuable transferable skills sought after by many employers today, such as effective communication and interpersonal skills

UCAS Tariff
Up to the age of 21, 200 UCAS points are required, generally from the main courses studied by the student i.e. National Diploma or A levels.
Entry for mature students over 21 without formal academic qualifications is at the discretion of the faculty; such applications are positively encouraged.
Students with a relevant HND or Foundation Degree can enter directly onto year 2 or 3 (second/final year) of the course depending on qualifications or award.
