Our objects of study encompass artifacts (e.g. tools and other objects modified or created by humans), features (e.g. architectural remains, hearths, artistic depictions), ecofacts (e.g. plant, animal and human remains, as well as sediments), archaeological sites and their associated landscape settings.

English Program Requirements
English language proficiency for general admission may be demonstrated through a valid score on one of the following standardized tests taken within two years prior to the start of the semester of admission. Final results should be submitted based on the instructions listed with each test.
Duolingo English Test (DET)
Requirement: A minimum overall score of 115.
Submission: Upon receipt of your certified test results, you should send the results from your Duolingo account to Memorial University of Newfoundland.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Requirement: A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on the IELTS Academic or IELTS Academic for UKVI, with at least a band 6 in reading and writing. General Training results are not acceptable.
Submission: Test report form should be uploaded to the admissions portal.
Pearson Test of Academic English (PTE ACADEMIC)
Requirement: A minimum overall score of 60.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
