Art, Architecture and Design with International Foundation Year

About

If English is not your first language, this subject-specific international foundation year will give you the necessary English language ability and expertise to study an undergraduate degree in art, architecture and design within UK higher education. Applicants requiring a Student Visa will not be eligible for this integrated course and instead should apply for the non-integrated International Foundation Year.

As part of your course you'll:

Develop intercultural awareness and self-confidence
Work on your communication, maths, research and study skills
Increase skills in presentation, time management, problem-solving and planning
Be introduced to various practice-based routes and take part in projects within each field to gain relevant skills and get a flavour of the different disciplines
Explore subject-specific terminology and literature that you could use when preparing visual documents to accompany practical work
Gain an understanding of British culture and universities, through a series of lectures and seminars
