Associate of Arts in Health Sciences

    About

The Associate of Arts in Health Science at Acupuncture and Massage College is a program for students who wish to pursue a career in massage therapy and complete a degree program that qualifies them for further study at the baccalaureate level. The Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree at AMC is two academic years in length. In addition to required general education courses, which meet the general education admissions requirement for AMC’s Master degree in Oriental Medicine, students learn a variety of massage therapy techniques that prepare them to take state and/or national licensing exams to become Licensed Massage Therapists (LMT). More than 80 percent of the bodywork classes at AMC teach a form of Asian Bodywork, enabling our successful graduates to earn a living practicing Shiatsu massage.
