    NOTICE to all prospective students: The Athletic Training program is now accepting applications for its final class/cohort of the program to begin Fall of 2022. This will be a direct admissions process into the program. Please follow the links below to apply.

    Athletic Training program graduates work in the traditional sports and athletic training settings with organizations such as:

    Entry Requirements

    Once a student is formally accepted into the ATP, he/she must adhere to the following guidelines and policies:

    • Students must maintain admission requirements in order to remain in the program. Failure to maintain the published requirements will result in the student being placed on Athletic Training Program Probation.
    • If placed on AT Program Probation, the student will have one semester to correct deficiencies. If she/he fails to correct deficiencies, the student will be suspended from the program.
    • During suspension from the ATP, the student will not be permitted to pursue additional athletic training classes or accumulate additional clinical hours unless given written permission from the Division of Athletic Training Program Director.

    English Program Requirements

    The language of instruction at Alfred University is English.

    All undergraduate international applicants are required to submit official scores from either the SAT, the ACT, TOEFL or IELTS examinations. If an international student has taken classes in a US University or college; they must apply as a transfer student, and we will review all English courses on the transcript(s) to show English proficiency.

    Alfred University reserves the right to request undergraduate applicants to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores if their SAT or ACT scores are inconclusive.

    How to Apply

    You are considered to be an international student:

    • If you are not a citizen of the United States
    • If you are currently in the United States with a visa
    • If you have applied for permanent residency but have not been approved

    All applicants who are not US citizens or US permanent residents at the time of application are considered international applicants. If you become a US citizen or permanent resident after you’ve applied to Alfred University, you may submit documentation of this change (a copy of your Certificate of Citizenship, Certificate of Naturalization, or Permanent Resident Card) to the Office of Admissions to update your citizenship status. US citizens and permanent residents, no matter where in the world they live or go to school, are not considered international applicants but will be reviewed for admission within the context of their school cohort.
