BA (Hons) Drama and Theatre Arts with Design and Technical Practice

    About

This programme is for theatre artists who want to design and deliver innovative work through technical practice, creative vision and technological confidence.

    • Goldsmiths is famous for producing theatre practitioners who have agency and critical capacity. Our design and technician staff team are artists, innovators and researchers in their own right.
    • Studying with us makes you ready for work in the existing theatre and screen industries, but we also equip you to create, innovate, and initiate change, in your own right as technicians and artists.
    • You'll take classes in ensemble performance, scenography, theatre-making, plus small-group coaching with a technical specialist in lighting, sound design, set, scenography and objects, stage management and costume design and production.
    • Your learning experience will benefit from a more recent appreciation and diversification of what design and technical practice can do for theatre and creative industry events more generally.
    • Our training assists you to achieve excellence in a nurturing and respectful environment.
