    The BA (Hons) Early Childhood with Montessori Pedagogy (Level 6 Top Up) provides an excellent progression route for students with a Foundation degree in Montessori Pedagogy. It can be completed either 1 year full time or 2 years part time.

    This course will advance your career prospects and give you a fascinating insight and critical appreciation of Montessori pedagogy within a wider early childhood studies perspective. You will have the opportunity to complete your own independent research project that addresses an issue, topic, or challenge within Montessori education.

    The BA (Hons) in Early Childhood with Montessori Pedagogy prepares you to be a thoughtful and flexible practitioner, working with and for children and families in a range of settings and professional roles.  You will develop knowledge, understanding and a critical appreciation of Montessori pedagogy within a wider early childhood studies perspective.

    Entry Requirements

    • Tawjihi: 60% for Foundation
    • 3 x AS Levels: Foundation
    • US High School Diploma: GPA 2.0 for Foundation
    • US High School Diploma: GPA 3.0 + SAT1 1070 for Direct Entry to Bachelor's
    • International Baccalaureate (IB): 25 points with minimum 15 at Higher Level for Direct Entry to Bachelor's
    • 3 x A Levels: Direct Entry to Bachelor's

    Career

    Early Childhood Studies gives you the skills and knowledge to work in a wide range of jobs with children and for children and their families. Graduates have taken jobs in local government, the NHS, charities, housing associations and day nurseries. Their roles have included childcare project managers, family support workers, play coordinators, out-of-school project managers and classroom/education assistants.

    UEL has strong and trusted relationships with local schools, childcare organisations and loyal alumni.

    If you already work, the degree will enhance your enjoyment and boost your progress because you will have a deeper understanding of what you do. You may find it easier to move into a management role, for example.

    We are thrilled to announce that our international scholarships for September 2022 have been approved and successful award winners are being notified. The is no need to re-apply for another scholarship as your eligibility will be automatically assessed at time of offer. 

    If you are an applicant, you need to ensure that you have submitted a complete application, (including your personal statement and supporting documents) and we will assess your application against our internal criteria.

    Scholarships range between £1,000 and £5,000 - off your first year's tuition fees- (depending on your course  programme). If you receive an offer of a place and are assessed as eligible for an international scholarship, the amount of the award will be indicated in your offer letter. 

    International Scholarships are issued at  the University's discretion and are only available to overseas, fee-paying, offer holders studying on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme. Different programmes may attract different amounts and it should be noted that not all applicants will be successful.

    International Scholarships are not available for:  

    • Short courses or exchange/study abroad programmes
    • Franchised programmes
    • Pre-Masters programmes
    • International foundation programmes
    • Pre-sessional English programmes
