The programme involves the study of related disciplines of early years' care, education, psychology, sociology, law, creative play, interactions, social policy, research and health and welfare for children aged 0-6 years. Applicants must meet the matriculation requirement of 6 different subjects which must include:

If your application is successful, you will receive an initial letter of offer either directly or through the offices of the agency.
You must then pay the fees for the first year of the programme in full and and provide evidence of a health insurance policy. Once your fees have been lodged in full to the DKIT account, a final letter of offer will be issued. You will need this letter in order to apply for a student visa. Visa applications are made to your local Irish Embassy or Consulate or to the Department of Justice in Ireland. If your visa application is refused, you can apply to the Institute regarding a refund.
