If you're an adventure-lover seeking a career in the outdoors, and have completed a related foundation degree or HND, then what better place than within 912 square miles of the iconic Lake District National Park â€“ a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From your unrivalled base in Ambleside, you'll have more than 150 lofty peaks, 16 lakes and an abundance of rivers - quite literally a classroom on your doorstep.

And, you'll use it often because we don't separate practical experience from academic knowledgeâ€“ it is integral to it - so you'll always back-up your theoretical knowledge with real-life scenarios.

Requirements

Entry Requirements

Successful completion of a related foundation degree or HND.

Applicants from courses based at institutions other than University of Cumbria will be assessed on their suitability depending upon the modules they have studied.

50% of previous course must be related to outdoor adventure.

Due to our excellent reputation in the field of Outdoor Studies, we receive a high volume of applications for this course.

All places are offered subject to successful Disclosure and Barring Service clearance.

Applications are welcome from mature students returning to education.

Contextual Admissions
