    The degree starts with core courses in business, accounting and economics, giving you a solid grounding in these important areas. You'll then branch out into your specialisations, majoring in accounting and finance.

    Professional accreditation and recognition

    The program is accredited by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and satisfies the educational requirements for entry into the Chartered Accountants Program.

    The program is accredited by CPA Australia and satisfies the educational requirements for entry into the CPA Program.

    Graduates of the program satisfy the educational requirements for membership of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) where they are working in the financial services industry.

    This program is recognised for maximum exemptions toward the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants' (ACCA) professional programs of study.

    This program is recognised through the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute University Affiliation Program. Affiliated programs incorporate at least 70% of the CFA Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) for all three levels of the CFA Program exams, including ethics. This program positions students to undertake the Chartered Financial Analyst® exam, which has become one of the most respected and recognised investment credentials in the world.     Undergraduate – you must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 program or an equivalent program in your home country or a recognised Pathway or Foundation Studies Program. If you are an international student studying Year 12 in Australia you need to apply via the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC).

    Postgraduate – At a minimum you must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree, to the required standard, from a recognised higher institution in Australian or the international equivalent and/or the equivalent professional work experience. The University offers both coursework and research degrees.
