    About

    Springboard+ Springboard+ is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF programme for employability, inclusion and learning 2014-2020. This course is free for eligible job-seekers and offered at a significantly subsidised rate for those in employment via the Higher Education Authority Springboard+ initiative. Springboard+ is open to eligible job-seekers, home-makers and individuals in employment. Springboard+ is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF programme for employability, inclusion and learning 2014-2020. What is Entrepreneurship? Participants will actively explore business opportunities and develop their own business ideas while honing their entrepreneurial mind-set and acquiring critical thinking and analytical skills. The core business modules are Strategic Management, HRM, Entrepreneurial Finance and Services Marketing, these provide a solid foundation in key business functions. What modules will I study? The modules in this programmes are as follows: Strategic Management (10 Credits) Services Marketing (10 Credits) Strategic HRM (10 Credits) Entrepreneurial Finance (10 credits) Entrepreneurial PBL (Problem Based Learning) (20 Credits) All these modules are 100% continuous assessment. What will I do? This part time, flexible programme is designed to develop the entrepreneurial competencies in the participants. This is a Level 8, add on honours degree in Business and Entrepreneurship. It comprises of core business modules in marketing, finance, HR and strategy in conjunction with a business development module. Participants will actively explore business opportunities and develop their own business ideas while honing their entrepreneurial mind-set and acquiring critical thinking and analytical skills. The programme is offered in conjunction with Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Local Enterprise Office who play a critical role in assisting the participants to develop their own business ideas. The partnership with the Local Enterprise Office is important in embedding the students in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the county and serves to introduce the candidates to the wider business community in the region. The LEO team work with the programme co-ordinator to organise specialist workshops, mentor support and enterprise advice to the participants in the programme. In addition, the LEO sponsors the end of Years showcase of the programme. The core business modules in Strategic Management, HRM, Entrepreneurial Finance and Services Marketing provide a solid foundation in key business functions. The Entrepreneurial project based learning module will enable the participants to work on their own business concept. This module is not taught in a traditional class based manner the faculty assist students to identify gaps in their knowledge and in this way, students become responsible for co-creating their knowledge by applying prior and currently learning and their emerging business skills while evaluating a real business issue. The pedagogical approach to the development and operation of the programme is rooted in the literature and best practice of Entrepreneurship Education. Future careers Graduates have a variety of career choices in general management and general business across technology and business, marketing and advertising, retail management, digital marketing, fundraising, financial services, business development and enterprise. Graduates also progress to further study at Masters level in Ireland and abroad.
    This is a one Years part-time flexible Bachelor of Business (Hons)in Entrepreneurship (level 8 - 60 credits) offered by IADT in partnership with the Dn Laoghaire Rathdown County Enterprise Board.

    Min Entry Requirements 180 credits and an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher in an ordinary degree (Level 7 ) or equivalent which can be verified via the IADT RPL policy.
