The Bachelor of Communication (Digital and Social Media) Bachelor of Laws (Honours) prepares you for leadership in the intersection of law, digital innovation, and communication.

Tailored for those aiming to work as digital communications experts or lawyers in social media and convergent media environments, you will gain the necessary skills to thrive in a landscape marked by continuous digital transformation and creative adaptation.
You will hone analytical thinking and strategic digital communication capabilities across various platforms. The course fosters technological literacy, cultural awareness, innovation, and leadership, alongside legal acumen tailored for the digital communications sector.
The honours component in law comprises two research subjects, enabling you to develop advanced research, critical analysis and communication skills that can be used in further higher degree research such as Master of Laws or PhD.
Career pathways are diverse, ranging from social media law and intellectual property to digital strategy and government advisory roles.
The course develops a broad range of capabilities for professional practice in information and law. It is particularly relevant for imaginative, synthetic and analytical thinking and communication, as well as practical skills in digital communication across diverse technological platforms and environments. Students learn to be technologically literate, culturally sophisticated, innovative and resourceful leaders with legal knowledge and skills for the rapidly evolving digital communications industries.
Students have the opportunity to engage in deeper study of the law by studying 76090 Research Methodology and undertaking 76040 Research Thesis. This course can be a pathway to higher degree research programs.
