About

Stitch together the skills for a bespoke career in fashion. This VET pathway is specifically designed for applicants who have completed either the VET Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Technology, the VET Advanced Diploma of Fashion and Textiles Merchandising or the VET Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising. The degree will prepare graduates to be professionally qualified fashion industry participants, able to fulfil a broad range of career opportunities in fashion and related industries.

Study a unique combination of hands-on garment design and production, creative arts topics, and business and cultural aspects of the industry
Specialise in either small-scale business, such as custom garment design, or large-scale business, such as global fashion brands
Work in dedicated fashion workshops for an enriched experience
Gain insight into the business side of the industry, including valuable skills in communication for the offshore production environment
Learn about computer-aided design technologies that contribute to design, production and marketing processes

Requirements

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirement is comparable to an ATAR of 65, please note that some Flinders programs require higher than a comparable ATAR of 65. For further information please see the individual requirements for programs on the course listings.

Credit for previous university studies is granted at the discretion of the faculty that administers a chosen course. If you are seeking credit or exemption you will need to provide detailed subject outlines of studies completed.

If you do not meet the necessary academic requirements you may enrol in a Foundation Program at Flinders International Study Centre (FISC).

English Program Requirements

If you don’t meet our English language entry requirements and need to improve your English language proficiency, you can do so through our approved English Language Instruction Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers. This means that you can attend the required English language tuition at approved ELICOS providers and gain direct entry into university without an IELTS or TOEFL test.
