This course is designed for students pursuing a career in interior architecture with an international edge. Choose this course to become a leader in the field, equipped with critical thinking, creativity, and advanced skills in both design and cross-cultural understanding. Its distinctiveness lies in the integration of digital technologies, international experience, and language acquisition.
You will gain expertise in spatial design, digital fabrication, and international design practices. Additionally, you will become proficient in a new language and understand another culture through immersive overseas study.
Learning is hands-on and research-driven, focusing on innovative projects. You will engage with cutting-edge technologies and develop a research-informed design approach. Teaching involves collaboration with industry experts, ensuring your education is grounded in real-world practices.

The course equips graduates with critical thinking, creativity and the skills to engage across the expanded field of interior architecture, to take up leading roles in industry. Uniquely, this course emphasises digital technologies of representation and fabrication, internationalisation and design practice. Students also learn a different language and culture, and travel overseas.
A further two years of study introduce and consolidate the learning of a language and culture other than English.
Course aims
Through their study, students develop spatial intelligence and excellence in design practice. The program fosters a creative and explorative attitude towards the design process, underpinned by reflective and critical engagement. Students generate a cohesive design approach where research and practice are consolidated in design outcomes.
