Information Technology experts create or manage computer-based applications, systems and networks. Build your knowledge across underlying sciences, IT, engineering and mathematical methodologies when you study a Bachelor of Information Technology at UOW.
You will study the fundamentals of computer science and IT: programming, problem-solving, network and communications, web technology, data management, system analysis, human-computer interaction, and project management.
The Bachelor of Information Technology provides foundation knowledge of organisational areas in IT, from: database management, programming, information systems analysis and design, communications and networks, security, project management, web-based technology, and professional practice in IT.
You can specialise in a major by choosing one or more of the following majors:
- Network design and management (Wollongong and Liverpool)
- Web design and development (Wollongong campus only)
