Bachelor of Media and Communications with a Major in Screen Practice and Production

    About

Australian filmmakers are esteemed throughout the world for their innovation, skills and can-do attitude. People trained in screen practice and production work in film, television, and online platforms on drama, documentaries, news and entertainment, advertising, communications and arts practices.

The Screen Practice and Production major will develop your skills in the production of screen media, including scriptwriting, directing, producing, cinematography, production design, sound and editing, as well as your knowledge through screen studies units that analyse film and television. You’ll gain hands-on experience, performing different roles in the collaborative setting of screen production while building your creative portfolio and networks in the screen and related industries.

I've always had a passion for writing and making films, so a media degree with a screen practice and production major was perfect. Theoretically, I've learned how to view media with a critical and informed perspective. Practically, I've learned how to use a camera, and about sound design, editing, set design, directing and screenwriting.
