Entry requirements for international students
**The Part-time option is not available to International Students on a Student Visa.
Admission
Must be currently enrolled in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Western Sydney University, and have successfully completed at least 160 credit points of that program, with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5 (credit average), before being admitted to Year 3 of the intercalated Bachelor Medical Research.
Special Requirements Prerequisites
Students must be compliant with NSW Health Legislation requirements and have the following.
- National Police Certificate (verified by NSW Health) and submitted to Student Central
- Working with Children Check
- Student Undertaking
- First Aid Certificate (including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation – updated yearly)
- Completed Adult Immunisation Card (verified by NSW Health) Completed documentation of compliance with NSW Health Records and Information Privacy Act

English Program Requirements
All international students must have a good command of written and spoken English.
If your first language is English or if you can provide satisfactory evidence that English was the medium of instruction in your secondary or tertiary studies (secondary or tertiary studies completed within 2 years at the time of your commencement at Western Sydney University), you may be considered as meeting the requirement of proficiency in English.
If English is not your first language or was not the medium of instruction in your secondary or tertiary studies, you are required to demonstrate your proficiency in the English language by achieving a prescribed level in an approved English examination or test before you can receive a full offer of a place.
