The Bachelor of Public Health and Bachelor of Business at UTS offers a unique opportunity to combine your interest in public health with essential business skills. This combined program, jointly offered by the Faculty of Health and the UTS Business School, equips you with a dual perspective on improving individual and population health through a business lens.
In the Bachelor of Public Health component, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of public health principles, with a strong emphasis on the social model of health. The program integrates health-specific content with professional and scientific subjects, allowing you to tailor your learning to your interests and career goals. You can take core and elective subjects in areas such as Indigenous health, health promotion, or global health issues, ensuring a well-rounded education that meets the demands of the public health sector.
The Bachelor of Business component complements your public health studies by providing a foundational understanding of business principles. You will choose a major from ten business disciplines, including Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing, further developing your expertise in your chosen area. This combination of skills prepares you to apply business strategies to public health initiatives, making you a valuable asset in both health services and industry sectors.
Your learning experience will be interactive and practical, combining theoretical knowledge with real-world application. This approach ensures you are workplace-ready upon graduation, equipped to tackle diverse roles in governmental and non-governmental health services, as well as wider industry. Graduates of this combined degree are well-prepared for diverse careers such as Health Services Finance Manager, Health Startups Entrepreneur, Global Operations and Supply Chain Manager, and Health Marketing and Digital Content Creator.
