    The Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Charles Sturt University is a standalone Honours degree that will give you the competitive edge in your science or health research career.     Featuring a substantial research project, this course will support you in the development of the knowledge, skills and attitudes essential to conducting research, especially for entry to higher degree courses. Your research may even be published.

Areas of specialisation include agricultural science, wine science, allied health, animal or veterinary science, environmental science, exercise and sport science, biomedical science, dentistry, nursing, midwifery, Indigenous health and pharmacy.

  • Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    A completed three-year Bachelor degree in Health or Science disciplines from an Australian University or approved overseas university with equivalent Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 (7 point scale).

    Selection into an Honours degree will depend upon high academic merit and the availability of two supervisors who are suitable in relation to the student's desired research topic. At least one potential supervisor should be consulted by the student prior to applying, should give their in-principle support for the project discussed, and should be named in the student’s application.

    Acceptance into the Honours program is subject to the approval of the Course Director and is at the discretion of the Head of the School in which the requested primary supervisor is located.

    English Program Requirements

    1. providing evidence of having completed a sufficient standard of study in English
    2. have obtained an Academic IELTS within the last 2 years with:
      1. a minimum overall score of 6
      2. no individual score below 5.5
    3. obtaining a qualification deemed to be equivalent to Academic IELTS (and its minimum scores) by Charles Sturt.
