About

Animal scientists study the feeding, breeding and management of domestic animals, particularly those of agricultural significance, from herd genetics and high-performance diets to animal vaccines and environmentally sound animal management.

What you will learn

You will examine ways use natural resources efficiently, sustainably and profitably to produce food, feed, fibre and fuel. You will take courses from several disciplines and learn to approach agronomic issues from several different perspectives. You will acquire an understanding of the biological, ecological and economic principles of crop production and soil management, as well as an appreciation of the short and long term effects of agricultural production on the environment.

3. After you apply

Transcripts

Transcripts or report cards are used to calculate your admission average and to determine whether you have met or will meet prerequisite requirements for your program.

English language proficiency

You may be asked to show evidence that you are proficient in English to ensure you are prepared to study at USask. If you’ve taken a standardized test, you will need to arrange for your results to be sent directly to the University of Saskatchewan from the testing centre.
