Overview The Biblical Studies and Worship Ministries major at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary focuses on foundational courses which will enable the student to gain a firm grasp of Scripture. The Worship Ministries major is designed for those will lead in the area of worship and music in the local church.Learning outcomesStudents graduating with the Bachelor of Arts degree will be able to do the following:Demonstrate an increased understanding of the Christian worldview in relation to the natural and social world.Demonstrate an increased understanding of the theological foundations of Christian ministry.Demonstrate increased competence in practical skills of Christian ministry, such as information management, strategic decision-making, and communication.Demonstrate an enhanced foundation for subsequent formal and informal education.BIBLICAL STUDIES MAJOR OBJECTIVESStudents graduating with the Biblical Studies major will be able to do the following:Demonstrate increased understanding of the biblical text.Interpret Scripture using appropriate hermeneutical and historically informed principles.Demonstrate skill in communicating biblical truth.WORSHIP MINISTRIES MAJOR OBJECTIVESDemonstrate basic knowledge of music theory, music history, and conducting.Demonstrate improved musical practice and performance skills.Demonstrate a basic orientation to local church music and worship ministry. The Biblical Studies and Worship Ministries double major programs at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary are divided into three distinct sections. Students take classes in the General Education component, the Christian component, and then in the Professional component.

1 : Completed application form. Additional typed pages may be attached to answer any section. A $50.00 non-refundable application fee. Immunization Records Official transcripts from any post-high school educational institution must be sent directly from the institution attended to Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Admissions Office. Church Endorsement Form completed by the church where the applicant is currently a member. Pastor Recommendation Form completed by a Pastor. If you have less than a one-year relationship with your Pastor, then a deacon or Sunday School teacher may complete this form. If you are a Pastor, send the form to your Director of Missions.Recommendation Forms completed by two persons not related to the applicant and by persons the applicant has known for at least one year.
