    About

Biochemistry, biotechnology and the associated fields are rapidly growing industrial activities. An increased demand for scientists in this field is therefore to be expected. The education is aimed to prepare you for such jobs in chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Besides being well prepared for an attractive job with this M.Sc., you can go on to take a Ph.D. at the University of Bremen or at other universities, and continue in fascinating areas of research.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

For inclusion in a master's degree is the completion of studies at the Bachelor's level requirement. The subject-specific entry requirements are set out in the current Aufnahme-/Zulassungsordnung (admission regulations). It also includes the different deadlines for the provision of evidence.

    Career

    Subsequent non-teaching occupational fields

The occupational fields in which biochemists and molecular bioscientists work are exceptionally diverse. This is due to the central importance of this subject area in the intersection of chemistry and biosciences. The occupational field extends from basic research at universities or research institutes (eg Max-Planck-Institute) through research, development, monitoring and distribution in biotechnology to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry in research, development and production. Further occupational fields are distribution of biochemical and pharmaceutical products, quality assurance, food control, management consultancy, state administration, patents or environmental authorities.
