    About

    Our Biomedical Sciences (Immunology) MSc will allow you to expand your understanding of immunology, immunopathology and immunotherapy, to further develop skills in analytical approaches to immunodiagnosis and molecular therapeutics, as well as enhance your competence in the design and execution of a laboratory-based project. You'll be able to take a proactive role in research, development, evaluation and implementation of current immunological techniques while perceiving the subject in the broader perspective of health care and scientific progress.

    The course is designed to give you the breadth of knowledge appropriate for the scientific and professional needs of practising immunologists, while also making use of your knowledge and experience. You'll be able to tailor the MSc to your interests through combining the core modules with a range of option modules with an emphasis on therapeutics, diagnostics, haematology or public health.

    Applying for a course

    If you are interested in studying for a Master's degree (eg MA, MSc or LLM) or research programme (eg MPhil or PhD) at the University of Westminster, you will need to check that you meet our entry requirements.

    For entry to a Master's degree that requires a UK 2:2 degree, you will typically need to have:

    • a 4-year Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in Jordan with a final grade of at least C/Good/68% or a GPA of 2.5/4.0

    For entry to a Master's degree that requires a UK 2:1 degree, you will typically need to have:

    • a 4-year Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in Jordan with a final grade of at least B/Very good/75%+ or a GPA of 3.0/4.0

    For entry to a research (PhD) programme, you will typically need to have:

    • a Master's degree

    Our course has been designed to provide you with a broad range of skills in immunology, immunopathology and immunotherapy.

    Graduates from our Biomedical Sciences MSc courses, including the Immunology pathway, have gone on to a variety of research and employment destinations. These have included beginning their research career by entering into a PhD programme or entering research and development roles in research institutes or industry. Those already working in research or healthcare laboratories have gained additional or translational skills to enhance their current roles.     How to Apply

    There are two ways for international students to apply for a postgraduate programme at Westminster:

    • online via the Westminster online application form, accessible through the red Apply button on each course page
    • via apply via our overseas representatives

    There is no official deadline for postgraduate applications, but we strongly recommend you apply early (by April for September start and October for January start), especially if you are interested in applying for a scholarship.

    If you apply via the online application form, please make sure you include scanned copies of all the following documents:

    • a copy of your results transcript from your first degree (translated into English)
    • a copy of your English language qualification
    • your CV/resumé
    • two academic references (letters of recommendation)
    • a personal statement (statement of purpose/study plan) that explains:
      • why you are interested in the course(s)
      • why you would like to study at the University of Westminster
      • any relevant skills and experience that you have
      • your career plans
