Plus, learn and develop the excellent communication skills required to support patients and their families through their cancer journey. Our state-of-the-art technology including our virtual environment radiotherapy training ensures you’re at the forefront of the ever-evolving industry during your studies and are highly employable once graduated.
Please be aware that for the BSc course each year is spilt into 50% academic teaching and 50% clinical placement. The placements run throughout the year in 2-6 week blocks.
To make this fair for all students, all students are allocated an inner and an outer London placement site. All students MUST attend both placement sites, which is equally split into 50% of time at each placement site. This is so you will be exposed to different technologies and techniques.
Students can apply for funding for travel, bed and board. In addition, students are given the opportunity to show preference on which inner and outer London site they would like but this is not guaranteed.
Students may be eligible for a Valerie Carr Award bursary. Please see more information on The College of Radiographers webpage.
You can view the list of clinical placement sites below;
- Guys and St Thomas' : London Bridge & Sidcup
