The first of its kind in Canada, this hybrid (face-to-face and online) graduate program is a true interdisciplinary initiative between the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences and Goodman School of Business. Its structure allows full-time students to achieve two degrees in two years. Part-time studies allow up to six years to complete both degrees. With a focus on public health management, graduates are exposed to relevant and complementary health and business concepts. The program also includes a mandatory 32-week internship in the second year of study providing experiential learning in the health sector.

Step 1: Select Your Program
- Visit the program page to review graduate programs available, and select one of interest to you.
- For program-specific questions, contact the program’s Graduate Program Director, listed on each program page.
- Some research-based programs will require you to have a supervisor arranged prior to applying to the program. Links to lists of Faculty associated with the program can be found on the individual program pages.
Step 2: Review Admission Requirements
- Review the university’s general admission requirements.
- Program requirements vary by program. Review requirements for your program on the program page.
- Note the application deadline. Many programs will accept applications after the deadline if the program is not full. If the application deadline has passed, we recommend checking with the program’s Graduate Program Director before applying.
- For international students, we recommend you apply a minimum of 6 months in advance of the program start date to ensure you have time to get the necessary documents to study in Canada.
Step 3: Prepare Application Documents
Several documents are required as part of your application. These will be uploaded to your Brock portal after you have submitted your online application through the Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC). If you attended a postsecondary institution in Ontario, you must order your transcripts via OUAC at the time of application. Your request can only be completed if you have corresponding entries in the Academic Background section of your OUAC application.
While requirements vary by program, you can expect to need:
- Transcripts & Degree Certificates
- During the application process, transcripts from all previously completed and in progress post-secondary studies (universities and colleges) are required to be uploaded by the applicant. Transcripts must be current-dated, include the student’s full legal name, student ID number, full name of institution attended and all coursework completed and grades earned. All transcripts must include the institution’s grading scale.
- If you attended a postsecondary institution outside of Ontario, transcripts from all previously completed and in progress post-secondary studies (universities and colleges) are required to be uploaded to your Brock portal AFTER you have submitted your OUAC application.
- Note: If you attended a postsecondary institution in Ontario, you must order your transcripts via OUAC at the time of application. If you attended a Postsecondary Institution in Ontario, your request can only be completed if you have corresponding entries in the Academic Background section of your OUAC application.
- If you have been admitted to your desired program, official documents will be requested. Documents are considered official if we receive them directly from the issuing institution. If the student elects to deliver official documents to Brock, they must be received sealed in the originating institution’s stamped envelope and not opened prior to Brock receiving the documents. Transcripts sent digitally directly from the issuing institution are also considered official.
- Referees
- Most programs require a minimum of two academic references. Referees must be able to provide an institutional e-mail address. Referees do not need to provide a reference letter. Referee contact information is entered into the OUAC application system and they will be contacted directly by Brock to complete a referee report. The report must be submitted electronically.
- Language Test Scores
- Applicants who have not completed post-secondary studies at a Canadian institution, or at an institution in one of the exempt countries, must provide proof of English language proficiency (ELP). For full details, visit our English language proficiency page.
- If you require ELP scores, you will also be required to complete an English Language Proficiency Self Report Form.
- Resume/CV
- Resume – A current summary of the applicant’s relevant education and experience. This should include details about the applicant’s academic and professional background.
- CV (Curriculum Vitae) – A current summary of the applicant’s education, qualifications and career to date. This should include the applicant’s full education details, employment, teaching and research activities/experience, and publications (if any).
Step 4: Complete the Online Application
- Complete and submit the online application.
- When you have submitted the application, you will be prompted to pay the non-refundable application fee. You must pay the fee for each program to which you are applying. Application fees vary by program.
- $110 CAD – MA, MBE, MSC, MS or PhD
- $140 CAD – MADS, GD ADS, MBA, MAcc, MEd, MPH, MPH/MBA, MAG or MPK programs
- The fee is payable to the Ontario University Application Centre and can be paid by VISA or Mastercard.
- Once you have submitted and paid for your application, one to two business days are required for Brock to receive your application from the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
- Note: An electronic transcript processing fee of $12 will be applied for applicants that have completed, or are currently completing, postsecondary studies within Ontario.
Step 5: Upload Supporting Documents
Within one week of submitting your application through OUAC, you will be contacted by email with your Brock Campus ID (2 letters, 2 numbers, 2 letters) and instructions on how to log in to the Brock portal to upload the remaining required documents for your application to be considered. Step 6: Monitor your student portal
Monitor your application and document status on the Brock portal using your campus ID. The Brock portal is your most up-to-date source of information. Offer letters to admitted students will be posted to their Brock Portal account. Please refer to the FAQ section of the website for answers to additional questions.
Admissions decisions will only be posted to the portal. Admission decisions are typically made 6 – 8 weeks after the application deadline.
