Make an impact on global business organisations with the practical skills, industry experience and entrepreneurial spirit you'll gain on our BA/BSc Business and Management degree course.
Our course, taught at the Business School for the Creative Industries, aims to make you a world-leading creative professional in a sector that is undergoing substantial growth. Each unit of the course will prepare you for a range of career opportunities in the creative business sector, and you'll have the opportunity to specialise in one of five industry areas - Fashion, Games, Music, Cosmetics and Beauty or Lifestyle.
In Year 1, youll be introduced to the fundamentals of marketing, finance and accounting, and learn about project and operations management. Youll also understand the importance of management and organisation behaviours, and learn about launching your own enterprise.
As well as developing knowledge and skills in e-commerce, youll gain an understanding of law within the creative industries in your second year, as well as international business practice. Youll develop your own business management style and ideally undertake a work placement.
In your final year, you will learn about business strategy, conduct thorough research and gain a deep understanding of sustainability and business ethics. Youll complete your studies with your final project, which will either evolve from your experience working for an organisation, or can be delivered as a business plan or consultancy project.
You have the option to complete a Professional Practice Year as part of this course, for which you can find details below.
