    Course overview

    Through practical case studies, you will explore the individual, team and organisational factors that can affect workplace behaviours. These include decision-making, personnel selection, motivation and teamwork, as well as the techniques needed to manage such situations.

    • The course aims to provide you with a thorough grounding in the theory and practical skills required to apply psychological research, business tools and methods within a variety of organisational settings and corporate cultures.
    • You will explore learning business psychology-related techniques to promote individual workplace wellbeing and organisational success.
    • It aims to prepare you for business and organisational psychology roles in management or consultancy, in human resources and the many other occupational functions. These could include learning, training and development, recruitment, health and wellbeing.

    International Foundation Year (IFY)
    Tawjihiya/Thanawihya/General Secondary School Certificate with pass grades.

    International Year One (IY1)
    Tawjihiya/Thanawihya/General Secondary School Certificate with good grades.

    Master's Qualifying Programme (MQP)
    No country specific entry requirement at this time.

    Undergraduate

    Students applying with an International Baccalaureate. Please check the specific course page for the points needed.

    Students who have successfully completed a recognised Foundation programme in the UK or internationally.

    Students who have completed Year 1 of a 4 or 5 year Degree Programme in Saudi with an average CGPA of 3.0 out of 5 or 2.5 out of 4.

    Students who National Diploma level qualifications High school Certificates

    The foundation programme is required for students who have completed Thanawihya.

    Students who hold Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or Central Board of Secondary Education.

    Students are required to have a UKVI IELTS score of at least 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill or TOEFL iBT with a score of 79 and a minimum component score of 18.

    Top-up

    Students who hold an Associate Degree should have CGPA of 3.0 out of 5.0.

    Students who hold a Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 4.0 out of 5.0 (subject to syllabus match).

    Postgraduate

    Students who hold a Bachelor’s Degree should have an average grade of 60% or above.

    Students who have an average grade of 70% or CGPA of 2.5 out of 4 for the Postgraduate Research programmes with a satisfactory research proposal.

    Students are required to have a UKVI IELTS score of at least 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill or TOEFL iBT with a score of 88 and a minimum component score of 19.

    On successful completion of this course you should be able to:

    • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the theoretical principles of Business and Organisational Psychology as applied in a business (occupational) setting, together with relevant psychological business analysis techniques
    • Critically evaluative psychological literature and apply research findings to professional practice
    • Demonstrate the appropriate application of ethical and codes of conduct, analysing complex employee-related issues and selecting appropriate intervention techniques to produce creative and effective business solutions
    • Produce consultancy reports based on theoretical concepts and knowledge in line with professional reporting standards in psychology
    • Evidence a range of transferrable and professional skills, thereby enhancing employment and promotion opportunities. These could include presentation; problem-solving; aptitude in literacy, numeracy and IT; working independently and with others to complete tasks effectively; excellent verbal and written communication; report writing; and self-management strategies to organise time and workloads.
