How can businesses plan to grow and anticipate changing market behaviours? Why do some businesses thrive in a recession, while others fail? Why does a situation in one country affect the economy in another? On our business and economics degree you'll see how an understanding of economics can inform decision making for business strategy and global trade.

The economy is at the forefront of political and business life. This means that economists are constantly in demand by businesses. Our degree equips you with the knowledge and skills required for your future career.

You'll explore contemporary business practices. Analyse past and present economic theory. And apply the theory to real life situations. You'll also examine the impact of global perspectives on private and public sector businesses whilst understanding what can affect local and international markets.

You'll dive into business economics and finances, looking at organisational behaviour in the marketplace, as well as international business environments. We'll introduce you to accounting and statistics where you'll learn how to interpret financial information. You'll also explore the importance of marketing in business decision making and success, whilst considering how businesses ensure operations run as efficiently and profitably as possible.

International Foundation Programme

Students whose qualifications do not meet our general entrance or course requirements may need to take an International Foundation Programme to qualify for entry to an undergraduate degree programme.

Applicants should have completed the Thawjihiyah (Saudi High School)

Grade 80%+

Undergraduate Programmes

Applicants should have completed an appropriate pre-university programme required
OR
Successfully completed the first year in recognised Saudi Arabian University

GPA of 3.5 or 5.0 depending on course

International Baccalaureate

We are happy to accept students who have completed the IB qualification. We will use UCAS Tariff scores to assess a student’s suitability. Subject-specific requirements at Higher Level (HL) Grade 5 may apply. For clarity of entry requirements for the course you’re interested in, please contact the International Office.

You can apply for full-time undergraduate degree programmes through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service)

Edge Hill’s institution code is EHU E42, and you should ensure that this is entered clearly on your application form, together with the code for the course you wish to apply for. The course codes are listed on the course pages of this website.

2. Via one of our agents or partners:

Our agent or partner will support you in making your application to Edge Hill University. Our agents and partners have had lots of experience helping people to apply to us and they will be able to guide you and make sure that you have included al the documents that we will need. Once you have submitted the application form and all the supporting documentation to our agent or partner they will send them to us.
