Business Informatics at TU Dresden

About

The programme provides students with the ability to identify and frame problems in the field of informatics, economics and business, to analyze them scientifically and to work out solutions. During course of study basic knowledge in the areas of Business, Economics and Informatics, Methods of Business and Economics, an internship and a research seminar are mandatory. Students can specialize in the fields of Business Informatics, Informatics, Business and Economics or the integrative area Business Sciences. Additionally, students have to choose courses from the following compulsory optional modules according to their main field of study. In Business Informatics: Information Systems in Manufacturing and Commerce, Business Intelligence, Information Management and Systems Development. In Informatics: Applied Informatics, Software- and Webengineering, System Architecture. In Business Administration: Management and Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Operations and Logistics Management, Environmental Management and Energy Economics, Learning and Human Resources Management. In Economics: Economic Policy and Political Economy, Financial Economics and Global Markets. The programme is completed with a research-oriented Diploma thesis.
