    Business Management (Blended)

    About

    Overview

    Course subject to curriculum review

Do you want to study business management, but want a flexible option that fits your lifestyle and commitment? Our blended learning route could be just for you.

With the majority of learning taking place online, our blended learning programme combines the flexibility and convenience with the academic rigour and support to provide you with a degree that fits your lifestyle, study preference and commitments. You will come to campus only two days each term to engage in assessment workshops and meet your friends and tutors in person.

This business management degree will allow you to gain the qualifications and skills you need to get ahead. You will delve into the core areas of corporate life, including managing people, operations, logistics, marketing, finance, and the role of ethical management.

You will explore how businesses can operate effectively in a multicultural environment, while learning to identify and solve business problems yourself, and communicate your ideas with impact.

This course also has the option of a one year paid work placement, to boost your employability even further. And throughout the degree you will have access to employability events, guest speakers from the business world, and access to mentoring and careers support.

Over the course of your studies, you will gain the key attributes employers value, such as commercial acumen, self-reflection and emotional intelligence, together with skills in research, numeracy, project management and leadership.

You'll get to hear from and meet industry experts, gain vital work experience, as well as having personalised face-to-face and 24/7 online study and career support. And, if you need it, throughout your studies you'll have access to personal wellbeing and mental health support.

This programme is dual accredited to a CMI qualification. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be eligible for a CMI L5 qualification in Management and Leadership (subject to passing the required mapped CMI modules and CMI moderation).

We are ranked as the best modern university in London (Times Good University Guide 2022 and Complete University Guide 2022).

    How you will learn

    • Lectures delivered through an online recording. This means you can log on and view this whenever is most convenient for you. It also means it will be available for you to watch as many times as you need.
    • Two days on campus per semester. You will come to our campus in south west London, for one day in week four and the other during week eight. These days will provide an opportunity for you to meet other students and lecturers in person, complete assessments, and participate in professional development workshops.
    • Weekly one hour module clinic, for each module, held online. You will take three modules at a time, so there will be three hours a week which will be live sessions, where you can ask questions and discuss ideas with your class.
    • Assessments designed to suit the predominantly online learning environment.
    • Access all the facilities that the University offers, including the library, student support and academic guidance, and you can visit campus anytime you like.
    • Benefit from the extensive experience of our academic staff who will support you to connect your learning to the realities of business and management.
    • Develop your academic, leadership and management skills through our Business Readiness module.
    • Receive support and guidance on your learning and career development from your Academic Guidance Tutor.
    • Benefit from a career mentoring scheme, student-led Roehampton Business Society and online careers portal.
