What you will study
The world of business is wide and complex, which is why your first year of study will focus on building foundations of effective business management, with modules that provide you with a strong base of knowledge in the essentials of the subject. First year modules cover essential topics such as data analysis, marketing, people management, operations, and sustainability.
From there, your further two years of study offer a wide selection of optional modules allowing you to specialise in the area of business you prefer and prepare for your successful career after graduating.
Modules are based on a variety of topics, including business ethics, entrepreneurship, finance, project management, data analytics and information systems to ensure variety.
All our business management students follow the same first year in order to build a solid foundation on which to specialise. This means you can transfer to any of our specialist business management degree pathways:

If you don’t meet our entry requirements, you might still be able to apply for this degree with a Business and Economics Foundation Year. This is an extra year of study to develop your skills and make it easier for you to get started at university. On successful completion of your foundation year, you’ll be ready to progress to the first year of your degree.
