    About

    You will study a variety of modules designed to enhance your business and people management skills over two 12-week terms. The first term will get you up-to-speed with business management theory and the second will allow you to specialise in gaining the skills and competencies of graduates who seek a career in HRM.

    Term one

    Applied Management
    Develop the knowledge and skills necessary to embark on a career in middle management.

    Business Research: Principles and Practice
    Build essential skills and learn about techniques needed to conduct a real investigation into a business problem.

    Business Strategy
    Gain a holistic and strategic view of organisations and their environments. Explore themes like trading, innovation, and cross-cultural management while learning to analyse global business challenges.

    Enhancing Academic Success
    This non-credit bearing module is designed to support students to develop their academic and business skills for future employment.

    Term two

    Contemporary Global Leadership
    This module allows you to explore the multi-faceted approaches of leadership around the globe. You will debate the leader/follower dynamic in politics, business, social media and society, so you can develop your own knowledge of the leader you wish to be throughout your career.

    HRM 4.0 and the Future of Work
    Draw on your existing knowledge of HR whilst developing a deeper understanding of current issues and potential future changes to the profession.

    Management Project
    Develop your professional business management skills as you draw on your learnings and apply them in a live project activity alongside a supervising tutor.

    Entry Requirements

    Academic Qualifications

    • Applicants who have completed a Diploma of Technician / Technical Diploma in a relevant subject can be considered for year 1 entry of an undergraduate degree
    • Applicants who have followed the IB Diploma curriculum can be considered for undergraduate entry – the normal UCAS tariff will be applied
    • Applicants who have followed the A-Level curriculum can be considered for undergraduate entry – the normal UCAS tariff will be applied

    Undergraduate Advanced Entry

    Students who have completed a 2 year Diploma or Associate Degree from a recognised institution can be considered for advanced entry onto the 2nd year of an undergraduate degree programme

    English Program Requirements

    English language requirements

    International applicants will need to have achieved an overall of IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component/TOEFL 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing or equivalent.

    Graduates can find themselves in a range of HR-related careers covering the full range of roles within the profession. This ranges from talent management and recruitment to employee relations. Other students go on to complete further study in the form of master’s degrees and other higher education qualifications.

    Our careers service team is dedicated to helping you find relevant placements for work experience or a job after graduation. We also have an employability development team who runs a programme called Grad Edge, and an enterprise team focused on new business ideas and entrepreneurship.

We also have over 2,000 registered employers targeting business graduates, so we’ll sign you up to receive weekly email alerts for jobs that match your interests too.

    Our teaching staff have incredible links with industry, allowing you to work with businesses on live briefs and case-studies as part of your studies as well as drawing on individuals’ experiences through guest lectures. This collaboration allows students to gain an insight into the challenges that businesses face and develop practical skills that employers value by applying your classroom learning to real-world scenarios.
