Certificate in Water Science

About

The Certificate in Water Science provides students with theoretical and practical training in hydrologic science. Emphasis is placed on a quantitative understanding and analysis of the hydrologic cycle, including the presence and movement of water in and between the primary storage pools: atmospheric moisture, surface runoff, soil moisture, groundwater, and surface storage in ponds, lakes, rivers, and oceans.

What you will learn

You will study how toxic substances behave in the body and in the natural environment, how they adversely affect individual organisms, populations and ecosystems, and how to measure these toxicants and their potential effects. This includes studying types of environmental pollutants and their presence and movement through air, soil, and water and risk assessment and regulation of prescription drugs, pesticides, pollutants and other chemicals.

Transcripts

Transcripts or report cards are used to calculate your admission average and to determine whether you have met or will meet prerequisite requirements for your program.

English language proficiency

You may be asked to show evidence that you are proficient in English to ensure you are prepared to study at USask. If you’ve taken a standardized test, you will need to arrange for your results to be sent directly to the University of Saskatchewan from the testing centre.
