    • Evaluate the practical and theoretical knowledge and skill sets appropriate for child protection and juvenile justice professionals
    • Analyze the child and adolescent welfare laws that influence the work of child protection and juvenile justice workers
    • Analyze the effects of victimology, psychopathology and family dynamics on troubled children and teens

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    • Provide certification of high school completion or the equivalent;
    • Complete a minimum of 127 credit hours (Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts) and have an overall grade point average of 2.0 or higher in courses taken at Bellevue University; the Bachelor of Fine Arts requires 132 hours; the Bachelor of Applied Science requires 124 hours;
    • Complete the Integrative General Education requirements;
    • Complete the requirements for a major in at least one academic area and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher in the major area courses;
    • Complete at least 12 hours of upper-level major credit in-residence, 21 for Accounting and Business Administration;
    • Complete at least 30 hours of upper-level credit; and
    • Meet residence requirements of 30 hours at Bellevue University.

    How to Apply

    To apply for admission as an international student, submit the following:

    • Completed Application Form
    • $100 Application Fee (non-refundable)
    • English language Test Results:
      • TOEFL minimum score required of 500 (Paper test) and/or 61 (Internet test).
        or
      • IELTS minimum score - 5.5
        or
      • Duolingo Language Test minimum score - 85
        or
      English Language Test Scores are not required of students from select exempt English-speaking countries. Bellevue University school code for TOEFL is 6053.
    • An official evaluation of foreign credentials: Must be completed by an approved National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member http://www.naces.org which includes, but is not limited to Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) and World Education Services (WES). Students who wish to transfer credit to Bellevue University will need to order a course-by-course evaluation.
    • Students requesting F-1 status must prove that enough funds are readily available to cover their first year of studies in the United States. Sufficient proof of funding must be provided before an I-20 immigration document will be created.
      • The estimated cost for the 2021/2022 academic year is $35,055
      • The funds must be available in a checking account, savings account, and/or a certificate of deposit (CD), as verified by an official bank letter (on letterhead) or bank statement. The bank statement or bank letter must clearly indicate the account holder's name and the current balance.
      • The financial documents must be dated within the last 6 months.
      • Government organizations or Company-Sponsored students must provide a sponsorship letter indicating the details of their sponsorship. All company/government sponsorship letters must be presented on letterhead and signed by the sponsor
      • If the account is not in the student's name, an Affidavit of Support will be required. The sponsor's name on the Affidavit must match with the name on the financial documents
      • If the documents are not in English, an official translation must be provided.
    • For students transferring from a U.S. institution, a completed International Transfer Form is required along with official transcripts from the transferring institution.
