    About

    On the foundation year, you'll be introduced to essential academic skills to help you succeed in higher education. You'll also explore the historical, cultural and linguistic aspects of Chinese studies. No previous knowledge of Chinese is needed.

    You'll gain critical skills in research, intercultural communication and global awareness. Alongside this you'll explore language, politics and society in depth.

    When you successfully complete the foundation year, you'll progress onto BA (Hons) Chinese Studies. From Year 1 you'll immerse yourself in the Chinese language, culture and society. You'll learn to master Chinese (Mandarin) and even have the chance to spend a year abroad.

    Diploma from a technical / vocational or health college / institute with a GPA of 2.0/5 or 60-64%

    Successful completion of on year of appropriate study at a recognised KSA university with a GPA 2.5/5 (65-69%)

    Our BA (Hons) Chinese Studies course combines Chinese language skills with a broad-based understanding of the region’s culture, history, politics and society. This will prepare you for a range of careers in – or connected to – the Asia Pacific region.

    The main focus of this degree course is developing fluency in Chinese. By getting an insight into cultural context you’ll develop a range of transferable skills. You'll get a well-rounded understanding of the Asia Pacific. This knowledge will offer a competitive advantage in the jobs market.
