About

This course will ensure that you have the technical and management capability to contribute effectively in the civil engineering environment.

As part of this course, you'll:

Prepare for a career as a civil engineering technician
Develop the knowledge you'll need to gain another qualification and progress onto the final year of the BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering degree

Partially Accredited IEng qualification - Accredited IEng (Partial)

This qualification is approved by the JBM as:

Fully satisfying the educational base for an Engineering Technician (EngTech)
Partially satisfying the educational base for an Incorporated Engineer (IEng). A programme of accredited further learning will be required to complete the educational base for IEng

The JBM consists of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) and the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE). Visit the JBM website for more information.

Qualification: One year of bachelor degree or Community College Diploma / Intermediate Diploma / Associate Degree (2-3 years)

Grade: Pass or high grades and relevant subjects can be considered for advanced entry
