Teaching, learning and assessment Teaching The course will include a variety of teaching methods including small group teaching, peer observations of teaching practice, completion of a portfolio and personal study. Some course elements will be in distance learning format. The overall structure will be flexible to allow participants to complete individual course units at different times, using the portfolio as a personal planner and record of achievement* *Specific teaching dates may be subject to change due to social distancing restrictions when teaching in small groups with regard to COVID19. In this event distance learning provision will be substituted to enable students to complete the MSc within the academic year. Assessment Module 1 of the Certificate will be assessed by a portfolio of evidence, relating to prior experience, taught courses, reflection and observation of teaching. Remaining modules will be assessed by assignments, generally in written format, and with a choice of subject areas, along with specific project work associated with some modules.
