Doctorate and master degrees are granted in ITU Graduate School of Science, Engineering and Technology, Coastal Sciences @amp; Engineering Department. The Coastal Sciences and Engineering Department is a multi disciplinary program and has a wide permanent staff including professors from Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Geomatics Engineering Departments and also Naval Architecture @amp; Ocean Engineering Departments. 60% of the lectures held in the program are in English and both the master and doctorate thesis may also be presented completely in English.
The main targets of the Coastal Sciences @amp; Engineering Master @amp; Doctorate Programme are educating engineers and researchers who have the scientific background on the natural coastal resources, and use the engineering and scientific background on behalf of coastal sustainability.
Due to the complexity of coastal resources, Coastal Engineering is a science and an engineering branch that requires the joining of the knowledges sourced by multidiscipliner fields, and onging and also developing branch that has a great research and study capacity in both in land and world.
Altough Coastal Sciences @amp; Engineering Department is established in 2002, several students are attending both on master and doctorate programs. Due to the agreements with the well known European Universities, the programme also offers the students to have some the lectures and study on the thesis on abroad.
