    Overview Employing critical and empirical approaches, the Communication program of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) draws its resources from the social sciences, humanities, and fine arts. Two areas of focus are offered: the concentration in mass communication centers on formal and institutional communication systems and the macrocosmic social contexts in which they function; the concentration in interpersonal communication centers on face-to-face communicative interaction.Learning OutcomesThe Communication major has the following learning outcomes:Demonstrated mastery of substantive areas of the field, including mass communication and media institutions, interpersonal communication, communication technology and digital systems, and political and legal communicationPlacement of particular communication events or examples in the context of broader patterns of human activityCritical evaluation of arguments based on evidenceDesign and implementation of original research projectsCompletion, using acquired knowledge and skills, of a project that demonstrates core competencies in the fieldActive participation in learning-in-practice opportunitiesEvaluation and critique of oral presentationsDemonstrated mastery of conceptualization, formulation, and oral presentation of the student’s own ideas I want to find another Bachelor Course
