    Admission Requirements When applying to the Communication Sciences and Disorders, M.S. (Speech-Language Pathology) program, you will need to submit several documents for review in two application systems. CSDCAS Application Instructions: Create an account with CSDCAS. Complete & submit the CSDCAS Application; pay application fee. Goals Statement (upload with the application) All applicants are required to submit a goal statement as part of their application. The statement should follow the guidelines and must address topics 1 and 2 listed below. Guidelines: one page in length, 12 font size, one-inch margins on each side, single-spaced. Topics:(1.) Describe an experience (e.g., accomplishment, event, or challenging situation) that shaped you, changed your perspective, or sparked personal growth that relates to your plans to pursue graduate school. (2). Explain how you would contribute to the academic and clinical culture of our Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Georgia State. (3.) If there is any additional information you would like to share or clarify about your application, please do so. Resume (upload with the application). Three Letters of Recommendation (identify your recommenders on the application). Official Transcript(s): minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA. Submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended by mailing directly to CSDCAS Verification Department | P.O. Box 9113 Watertown, MA 02471. GRE scores: Institution code 7461; scores may not be more than five years old at time of application. The Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educations (GACE) Program Admission Assessment is a requirement for entry into speech-language programs in the state of Georgia. This requirement is set by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission for the preparation and licensing of educators and speech-language pathologists in the state. However, you may be exempt from the GACE Program Admission Assessment if you meet one of the following: SAT scores (1000 or higher reading & math scores only); ACT scores (43 or higher English & math scores only); GRE scores (297 or higher verbal and quant scores); the score report for proof of exemption can be uploaded to your application for verification. If you do not meet the exemption criteria, you will need to take and pass all three sections of the GACE Program Admission Assessment. GACE Program Admission Assessment. You may exempt this test if you have received appropriate minimum scores on the ACT/GRE/or SAT; For exemption score details, click here. Click here for information and how to register for the GACE Program Admission Assessment. Georgia State Application Instructions: Create a profile for the GSU/CAS-Liaison Graduate Application. Complete & submit the GSU/CAS-Liaison Graduate Application; pay the $50 application fee. Complete ALL components of the GSU/CAS-Liaison Graduate Application EXCEPT the following sections: writing sample, art portfolio, letters of recommendation. One application should be submitted in CSDCAS and one Georgia State Graduate Application with the required materials here for admission.

    English Program Requirements

    For students required to show English Language Proficiency for summer 2020 and fall 2020, Georgia State accepts Duolingo English tests as one of the new English proficiency tests. To register for the test, please go to go.duolingo.com/applicants. The Duolingo English Test can be taken online from a computer with a camera. Certified results are available within two days and can be shared instantly with the university. For 2020-2021 admissions cycle, any changes on the admissions requirements will be updated on the website under the guidance from the University System of Georgia.
