    The course focuses on both football and leadership related knowledge needed to develop professionals for the football industry. Developed in partnership with professional coaching organisations, this football coaching course allows you to study and gain work placements across the globe.

    Entry Requirements

    Academic Qualifications

    • Applicants who have completed a Diploma of Technician / Technical Diploma in a relevant subject can be considered for year 1 entry of an undergraduate degree
    • Applicants who have followed the IB Diploma curriculum can be considered for undergraduate entry – the normal UCAS tariff will be applied
    • Applicants who have followed the A-Level curriculum can be considered for undergraduate entry – the normal UCAS tariff will be applied

    Undergraduate Advanced Entry

    Students who have completed a 2 year Diploma or Associate Degree from a recognised institution can be considered for advanced entry onto the 2nd year of an undergraduate degree programme

    English Program Requirements

    English Qualifications

    Proficiency in English is essential for undergraduate and postgraduate study. The University of South Wales recognises the following English Language qualifications:

    • GCSE/O Level English at grade C or above
    • IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 with at least a 5.5 in each component.

    Students graduating from this degree may progress to roles as Professional Football Coaches, Academy or Community Football Coaches, Community Sports Coaches, Sports Development Officers, various positions within the Leisure industry, Sports Managers and business owners. Students will also access further study required to become a Primary or Secondary School Teacher.
