    Our Computer Science BSc will give you the computing skills and knowledge to help shape the future of businesses and organisations. Computer Science plays a vital role in the technological developments that have become part of everyday life. This honours degree we will provide you with the fundamental programming and problem-solving skills required in the Computing sector whilst covering a range of cutting-edge topics, such as, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data.

    Course Costs Not Included in the Fees Course books - many of the books are recommended, however there is at least one core textbook per module that is mandatory. Stationery - It is mandatory that you come prepared with pens, pencils, a ruler and paper as some of the modules will require you to take physical notes away from a computer. It is also recommended you have a set of highlighters to help with your notes. Some modules with require the use of a calculator, you can use your mobile phone for this but if you do have a scientific calculator (from £10 on Amazon) it is recommended you use this instead. Peripherals – You will need to ensure you have a computer or a laptop able to download and execute the following programs: - • Visual Studio 2019 (Community Version) • Eclipse • Anaconda Navigator • MongoDB At the time of writing, all software above is free In terms of a laptop or a PC we recommend you use Microsoft Windows 10 as your Operating System as it is better equipped to handle the course content. Printing and photocopying costs: There is no charge for course hand-outs, handbooks etc. Students will receive a printing credit of £10 per annum from the University Centre, after which students will have to pay for extra credits. Library overdue charges: Overdue charges apply to all library loans to encourage you to return any resources you borrow on time. Overdue charges are 5p per day per book. There is no charge for e-books rentals.
