If you want to progress to postgraduate study within computer science, but lack the necessary technical background at the moment, UCA's new BA (Hons) Computer Science & Practice top-up will get you there.
While many computing top-up courses exist, most don't bridge the gap between undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study. On this one-year course, equivalent to the final year of an undergraduate degree, you'll boost your existing skills in a non-computing but relevant subject, with practical computing skills.
You'll gain strong technical skills in software programming and development for contemporary environments, whether this is on a local device, on the web, or utilising Cloud technologies. The year culminates in an exhibition of work developed during the year and a major project, based on your own interests. The focus of the course is on the development of software throughout, ensuring that you are able to create fully functioning software applications through the development of their programming skills, rather than just design prototypes.
Please note: this course is subject to validation.
