    About

    Overview

Computer system and network administrators are responsible for the configuration and reliable operation of computer networks that form the backbone of modern information systems.

This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required for careers in the ever-expanding field of computer systems and networking.

You’ll learn about computer network design and development technologies, focusing on the design and support of distributed computer and telecommunications networks. You’ll develop skills in network design and management, and the convergence of computer hardware, embedded systems, IT, technical support, real-time systems, software and telecommunications.

The course integrates developments in wired and wireless networking, and provides a comprehensive view of the industry. You’ll learn about the internet of things (IoT) – a network of devices connected to the internet on a global scale. The IoT is expanding rapidly, and it is increasingly critical for professionals to understand how it works and how to harness its power to improve business. This course will therefore enable you to apply technical knowledge across IoT-related functions in the workplace.

The course includes certification-based training with IT leaders. You’ll graduate with the skills to expand the capabilities of networks already in place and to build new ones.

    Double degrees

You can extend your expertise and career opportunities by studying Computer Systems and Networking as a double degree with Information Technology.

How this course will make you industry ready

Laboratory sessions are based on industry-standard certification preparation. This, combined with the theoretical foundations, will give you a thorough understanding of how networks are used in industry.
