    Developed by leading specialists, our newly updated Computing and Information Technologies University Advanced Diploma (UAD) has been designed around diverse cutting edge issues, events and digital developments.

    The course will allow you to deepen your knowledge and understanding through research, case studies and practical skills-based projects. With a core focus on professional ethics and the wide-ranging impact of computing technologies in society, the programme will support learners in acquiring crucial skills which underpin the duties and responsibilities of today's computing professionals.

    Entry Requirements

    • Shahadat Al-Thanawaya Al-Aama
    • Students with an overall score of 60% would usually be eligible for the International Foundation Year
    • UKVI IELTS 4.5 with a minimum of 4.0 in all components (CEFR B1) is also required
    • If you are studying and completing any internationally recognised qualification such as A-levels; International Baccalaureate (IB) or the American Curricula from the International Schools within Jordan, then you can begin from the first year of a Bachelors degree. Please see individual course pages for specific entry requirements
    • If you have completed a recognised international foundation programme with good grades
    • Advanced entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus and a grading guide

    This programme is designed for learners who wish to advance their knowledge and understanding of important aspects of Computing and Information Technologies in order to enhance career opportunities or to prepare themselves for postgraduate research. Importantly, it does not solely focus on digital technologies but also places these in context in respect of both their impact on society and the environment.

    It will provide you with highly transferable subject, academic and practical skills which are widely sought by today's Computing and IT employers.

    This course is also an excellent stepping stone to gaining a full degree, which can be obtained by going on to study the Computing and Information Technologies (Top-Up) BSc (Hons), which can be completed part-time online.

    How to Apply

    Before you begin your application make sure you have:

    • Your qualification details including grades and dates taken. You will have the opportunity to upload scanned copies of your qualification certificates/transcripts in the application. If you have no formal qualifications, you can also state this in your application
    • A scanned copy of your passport or other official photographic ID e.g. photo driving licence. This will help us verify your application to study with us. If you do not have any photo ID, we will accept a scanned copy of your birth certificate. International applicants can only provide a copy of their passport for visa assessment purposes
    • Your work experience (optional). You can upload a CV into your application or provide the company names and addresses of up to three of your employers
    • A personal statement showing your interest for the course/subject. This is a mandatory requirement and you will be able to upload it into your application. You may want to include your reasons for applying for the course, your experience in the field, how you feel you would benefit from studying and relevant information about your previous studies. You could also tell us about your non-academic experiences such as hobbies, interests, participation in any clubs, societies or voluntary work
    • A relevant reference for the course you have applied for. The reference should be in written format and supplied on company-headed paper, signed and dated from either a manager, supervisor, tutor or teacher
    • If you need to supply two references, this usually means you need to provide one academic reference from any recent study and one employer reference
