This course aims to provide an understanding the local, regional and global context of construction and the built environment and provide students with opportunities to address contemporary issues facing the industry, and society at large; with particular emphasis on sustainability and the environment, recognising the role that construction and the built environment plays in addressing these issues. Technologies are transforming the industries of construction and the built environment, and this course will provide an understanding into the diversity of roles with construction and the built environment, recognising the importance of collaboration at all levels. In developing the HNs in Construction and the Built Environment, Pearson explain that their purpose is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the construction and the built environment sector and adapt to a constantly changing world.

Entry Requirements
UCAS Tariff - 48 points
You will need to be aged 18 years or over on or before 31 August of the academic year the course commences. You will need a minimum of 48 UCAS points which may be gained from the following qualifications:
•Two A-levels
•One A-level plus an AS Level pass in an appropriate subject
•A BTEC National Diploma or Extended Diploma
•A BTEC National Certificate
•A level 3 diploma or equivalent such as NVQ, GNVQ, International Baccalaureate, Scottish Certificate of Education
•A recognised (Kite marked) access course
•Other relevant international qualifications
